Many people throughout the Hampton Roads area have heard of Jackcrete and know what we do, but far fewer have heard of RPC Industries. Despite being around for over 40 years and working on many local landmarks (such as the Norfolk Scope, Victory Arch, and columns at Christopher Newport University) RPC is still largely unknown.
So, What is RPC Industries?
RPC Industries is a Hampton, VA based facilities contractor that specializes in polyurethane foam roofing applications, emergency roofing repairs, and insulation systems. They also offer abatement and remediation services for asbestos, lead, and contaminated soil.
RPC regularly travels throughout the Hampton Roads area and can often be found at secure government facilities. Due to the nature of their projects and clientele, the trucks are a bit less flashy than the Jackcrete fleet- most of the RPC trucks have a simple small sticker on a white truck.
What Makes RPC Industries Special?
Though they are a bit more low-key than Jackcrete, RPC has accomplished a lot over their illustrious history. The founder, Buddy Cockrell, has previously served as President of the Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Alliance and Director of the Society for the Plastics Industry. They have won national awards in 2006 for their work at the Norfolk Scope, 2015 for their work on a Gerald Form class aircraft carrier, another one in 2015 for work at the Hampton Plaza Shopping Center, and one in 2016 for Automation Controls, Inc.
As a government and secure facilities contractor, RPC has worked for the Air Force, NASA, Navy, Federal Aviation Administration, Coast Guard, Army, and National Park Service. RPC has also worked with many universities such as UVA, CNU, ODU, and VSU.
In 2013 RPC Industries launched the Jackcrete brand to serve the needs of homeowners in the Hampton Roads market. Over time we have expanded into the municipal sector as well, gaining city contracts across the state of Virginia. Much like Jackcrete offering free inspections for concrete repairs, RPC Industries provides free inspections as well as emergency response repairs.
